Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma is producing a film titled 'Bejawada Rowdylu' under the direction of his protege Vivek. However, by the time of the announcement of the film, there were lots of protests on the title and many people opposed it as it tarnishes the image of one of the biggest cities in the state.

Even, permission was also denied for the shooting of the film in Vijayawada as the police were of the opinion as they could not control the people who may try to disturb the law and order in the city.

Now, a song is scheduled to be choreographed in Vijayawada and hence RGV wrote a letter to the police commissioner for permission. The CP wanted to listen to the song first before giving permission.

Another point to mention here is that RGV reportedly agreed to delete the word 'Rowdilu' from the title and retain only 'Bejawada' as the title.
